School psychologists are mental health professionals who work in educational settings to help students, parents, and teachers address academic, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Here's a general overview of the steps involved in becoming a school psychologist:

    • First of all you need to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Special education
    • Then you have to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in School Psychology
    • After that you have to pass the National School Psychology Examination (NSP)
    • Then after meeting certain requirements, you will obtain a State License that will help you gain authorization to practice school psychology in your state
