How do I become an expert in software development & ethical hacking?

Ethical hackers role is a proactive one as they prevent cyber- crimes and protect cyberspace from intrusion. They ensure data security and protect computer systems from illegal hacking activities. Computer hackers use their expertise in computing and knowledge of programming, web applications, operating systems, assembly language, internet security systems, etc. To protect computer systems from illegal hackers. It is a niche skill and has limited career opportunities. However, if you able to break into your first job then it is very high paying and respected job. Most of the computer hackers have graduation degrees such as B.Tech CSE/IT, BCA-MCA, B.Sc. Computer Science. Most of the hackers are those who have excellent programming skills.

Hello, Becoming an expert in software development and ethical hacking is extremely difficult for you. Because these are the two different streams which are interconnected. For excelling in these fields, I would recommend you to learn different computer languages (but have a rigorous command on at least one particular language like C+ or Python). For learning these languages, you should opt for classroom learning (virtual learning is best fit for those having intermediate knowledge). After that, you should identity the various faults in your success path. You have to critically analysis that how and where are you lacking. To overcome, you may go for any IT company to work as an ethical hacker with the certification of CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker). I am suggesting you some tools which would really help you to gain knowledge and would help you to become an expert in this field: Tools/Apps like Code Climate, CodeWars Trello, the Raspberry Pi and Arduino.

Well, you can begin with freelancing projects. I would recommend you to learn one application programming language like Java/C#/Python and C programming. Try to learn these languages on your own. You are a beginner with no background in computers so I would recommend you to learn from youtube. This way you can make sure that you understand the stuff in your own way by referring different tutors on youtube. Once you start doing projects you'll know how a computer works. Then the next step is analysing the loopholes in any given software or any kind of system. Once you're done with it, you can refer some books that teach about network programming like Unix Programming by Richard Stevens or Linux Programming by Michael Kerrisk. Finally, I would recommend you to install a Linux Distro. Get acquainted with the Linux environment. Once you are done with it, learn shell scripting. Earn some expertise in shell scripting and then try to figure out how networking protocols work and how can you crack them to get the desired information. Refer advanced texts on networking and network penetrations. Install network penetration and cracking tools on your Linux distro. Use basic tools like nmap, msfconsole, aircrackng, etc. to start with. After that, you can combine your programming knowledge along with these tools and build something significant. After you gain some confidence, prepare for the CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) exam. You can join some coaching for that exam as well. After you get certified, you can work as an ethical hacker and aid organisation in testing their websites or software products.

You can appear in professional certification examination to become a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) by appearing in an examination conducted by ED-Council. Certification is achieved by taking the CEH examination after having either attended training at an Accredited Training Center (ATC) or completed through self-study.
