    NEHU Shillong admission process is entrance based and candidates seeking admission to the courses in fields such as Management, Business, or Humanities must appear for entrance exams based on the selection criteria of their desired course. NEHU Shillong accepts JEE Main for BTech admissions, GATE scores for M.Tech admissions. Other courses admission process is done through CUET UG or CUET PG.

    The admission process at NEHU Shillong is different for all courses. Aspirng candidates need to take GATE exam for M.Tech and JEE Main for BTech programme. For the remaining programme the admission is based on CUET UG and CUET PG exam. Along with this the candidates need to pass Class 12 or graduation to be eligible for the desired programme.

Moreover, 70k rank in JEE Main is sufficient to get admission at NEHU Shillong. As per the NEHU Shillong cutoff 2025 for the last-round seat allotment result, the cutoff ranged between 70898 and 79008 for the General AI category candidates.
