SRM IST Trichy (Deemed-To-Be-University) admission is both merit and entrance-based. SRM IST shortlists candidates based on merit in the last qualifying exam. For BTech, the university conducts SRMJEE. SRM also accepts national-level entrance exams such as JEE Main/ SAT for admission to BTech course
