How do I get an internship at NAL?

Here are some steps to approach Make sure you have a tailored resume and good project idea* There are a lot of divisions in NAL, find the one which is relevant to your project idea and get the contact details of the HOD. Email the HOD about your project idea and ask for a possible face to face meeting for further discussion. Based on the reply, meet up and convince that the project idea is helpful for NAL and that will fetch you the internship. *If you don't have any project idea, look up for the current projects of your interested division in NAL and you can come up with an idea based on those projects. I did my intern at NAL in MAV unit in summer 2015, the project idea involved wind tunnel testing, so my friend and I searched for the projects and found a common one and emailed the HOD, MET with the scientists and got the internship. The internship experience was very good.

If you know someone working in National Aerospace Laboratories, the procedure is a lot easier. Find some e-mail ids from the website Council of Scientific & Industrial Research-National AerospaceLaboratories Many of the scientists reply to emails if they find them interesting and useful to them. First of all, make the latest resume including all your previous projects and paper presentations. Then mail it to the NAL office and wait for the reply. Since we do not know about the Probability of success on this, it is better to get contact someone working there through your college staff or any student because National Aerospace Laboratories sends employees for pursuing Master of Technology in different colleges (if you are a Master of Technology student). But whatever the case, prepare 100 percent for the interview and give your best. Be thorough with the projects, even the mini projects which were done for the namesake. I hope this will help you.

You have to do the internship for one year and you will have the contract for that. Best thing is that you can finish your final year project without spending single penny from your pocket as it al taken care by the NAL. All the best for your Internship!
