How do I get into IIM?

<p>To get into an IIM, you must:</p><p>Take the CAT</p><p>IIM accepts only the common admission test or CAT as the entrance to the institute. The IIMs organize this test called the CAT every year.&nbsp;</p><p>Introducing the participants academic profile</p><p>To apply for the given post, you must be graduates with minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the bachelor's degree from any university recognised by the University Grants Commission or any other recognised university. For SC/ST/PwD Category candidates there will be a minimum percentage of marks required and that is 45%.&nbsp;</p><p>Clear the CAT cut off</p><p>Once the CAT results are declared; candidates who cleared the knockout blows or cut off near it are shortlisted for the next level.&nbsp;</p><p>Write the Written Ability Test (WAT) and get through the Personal Interview (PI).</p><p>WAT and PI are the two selective tools used by the IIM's while admitting students for MBA program.&nbsp;</p><p>Be looked at for the final choice</p><p>The final short list is created based on your total percentile score obtained in CAT, your academic percentile, your weighted work experience, your category, WAT and PI.&nbsp;</p><p>IIMs also provide programme after class 12 which is 5-year Integrated courses. These courses are also entrance examination based and the entrance tests that are used include IPMAT, JIPMAT, and IPM Aptitude test.&nbsp;</p><p>Amongst the different quotas that are applied IIMs also prioritise employment of the female/transgender candidates.&nbsp;</p>
