All the questions of Quant in CAT are not of same difficulty level. Some are basic which can be dealt with formulae, whereas some are complex and you cannot solve those with formulae alone. To increase question-solving speed, you need to practice a lot. Don't take help of the calculator. Try to memorize the formulas. Do the simple addition and subtraction mentally.
