how do i start if I want to study further, probably do a B.A if I have completed my studies only till 9th standard?

I am 40 years old now and am willing to have a degree or atleast study further to qualify myself. I am not willing to appear for the SSC boards , and hope there are other options to a course the besides the10 2 method
