How do students get selected for B Tech and what is the minimum percentile required?

<p>Hello Nishar Ahmed, Centurion University of Technology and Management at Vizianagaram of Andhra Pradesh is graded by NAAC, at grade A. This surely attracts lots of students considering the grade given to it by the national grading agency of the Government of India. Even otherwise this university's School of engineering has a good reputation of excellent academics and also excellent placements record. However in the prospectus and on their web page this university does not talk of any minimum percentage or percentile to be scored either in JEE Mains or EAM CET of Andhra Pradesh or even their own entrance exam, CUEE, below which a student cannot apply. The only restriction is scoring of 50% marks in the 12th standard which is the basic criteria prescribed for general categories students. For other category of students a concession of 5% is further given. Be that as it may some places at some websites people have crunched the data from either the students or from other sources to declare that the cutoffs for different courses based on eamcet scores vary from 31thousand to almost 1,50,000 depending on the branch of engineering but unfortunately this cannot be verified from the official website of the university.</p><p>The students who desire to seek admission in any of the engineering courses have to fill up a form online or offline giving information about marks obtained in the qualifying examination and also the scores obtained in either EAMCET or JEE MAINS or both. A student can also apply for taking the entrance exam for the university but this is not mandatory. University then shortlist the candidates based on the application forms and calls them up for interview, group discussion etc. and then selects them keeping in mind their performance in this also.</p><p>Best wishes to you.</p>
