    The fees for B.Tech courses at NIT Kurukshetra for Indian students are around Rs. 1.36 Lacs per annum. For M.Tech courses, the fees are around Rs. 76,350 per annum. The fees may vary for different courses and categories of students. NIT Kurukshetra also offers various scholarships and financial assistance programs such as the Merit-cum-Means Scholarship, Post-Matric Scholarship, Minority Scholarship, and others, for deserving students.     The total tuition for the BTech course at both institutes is the same, i.e., INR 5 lakh. However, there is a slight difference in the total tuition fee for MBA and M.Tech courses. NIT Silchar charges a higher fee for these courses when compared with NIT Kurukshetra. Candidates can refer to the table below for a detailed insight:

    Well, the good news is that both institutes offer excellent education and career opportunities for their students. In terms of fees, there's a slight difference between the two. The total tuition fees for the B.Tech programme at NIT Kurukshetra is Rs. 5.6 Lacs for four years, while at NIT Silchar, it's Rs. 6.82 Lacs for the same duration. However, keep in mind that the fees may vary depending on the specialisation chosen and the student's category. Both institutes also offer various scholarships to their students. If you belong to the General AI category, the cutoff for all specialisations and rounds ranged from 360 to 526, wherein M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was the most competitive. For the  OBC AI and SC AI category candidates, the last round cutoff ranged from 317 to 486, and 231 to 328, wherein M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering and M.Tech. in Transportation Engineering were the toughest specialisations to crack, respectively. NIT Silchar 2025 cutoff for MSc has been released for admissions to various categories. For the General AI category, the cutoff ranged from 1111 to 1679, wherein M.Sc. in Mathematics was the most popular and therefore, the most competitive. For the OBC AI category, the MSc cutoff 2025 ranged from 1251 to 3775, wherein the same course was also the most competitive. However, please note that different categories will have different cutoffs accordingly.
