Can tell this about LPU with full conviction due to personal experience. LPU remains on forefront of any activity it does. Some of the social initiatives of LPU are as follows:
Pulse polio camps
Educate the poor child mission. Empowering young children with skills to eradicate poverty. Blood donation camps with over 10000 units of blood being collected. Contribution in flood relief
Free Science camps to encourage scientific temper. Laptop donations to needy students. Cricket matches for cause to raise voter awareness

As far as I know that LPU have clubs in LPU which educate poor students and collect fund to help the needy people.
