GIBS keeps the syllabus super up-to-date and practical. They don't stick to old-school theory — they keep changing things based on what's happening in the business world right now.

They call industry speakers, do guest talks, workshops, IRE sessions, live projects… so we end up learning things companies actually look for. Whenever new trends come in (like analytics, digital tools, finance trends, marketing updates), they update the curriculum accordingly.

Basically, GIBS makes sure what we study is actually useful outside the classroom — and that's why the learning feels fresh and relevant.

GIBS ensures its curriculum is relevant to today's business trends by continuously reviewing course content and updating it based on conversations with organizations, industry, students, and the relevant market needs. It works with professionals and corporate partners to develop modules that reflect contemporary challenges. Topics such as digital marketing, business analytics, and entrepreneurship have been refreshed in multiple courses with some updates made this year. The Innovation Lab and Finishing School add additional layers of practice in students' learning. Also, the programme affords students access to guest lecturers, worksho

Yes!

  • Excel is a must. We use it for analytics, finance assignments, and data exercises.
  • SPSS is introduced in research-based subjects.
  • Canva is used in marketing presentations and branding assignments.
  • Power BI is introduced in some analytics electives.

These tools help a lot because companies expect BBA grads to know at least basic data and presentation tools.

There are none. Since the Business Communication courses are offered at the Certificate level, you don't really have to fulfill any eligibility requirements to get admission to a Business Communication school. Most of the institutes provide Business Communication courses in online mode.

So, just register on their platform, pay the course fee, and get started with the program.

Work experience is not a necessity for entrance into the PGDM or MBA course here at GIBS, though it is considered and offers an advantage in a significant manner.
As per the selection criteria of GIBS, due weightage is provided to the applicants with work experience.
Work experience during admission evaluation contributes 10% to the overall score.
Most of the fresh graduates (without work experience) get admitted, for instance, approximately 76% of the recent PGDM batch consisted of freshers.
So, although prior experience helps, freshers are fully eligible to apply.
