    (a) Teaching MBA or equivalent course. Nowadays B-Schools and universities prefer candidates with Ph.D. in management or commerce or economics field to become a teacher in the role of Lecturer. Assistant or Associate professor. Universities may prefer NET qualified candidate. B-Schools and Universities augment their teaching staff by hiring visiting faculty members with industries experienced and adequately qualified management professionals.     Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor are the three levels. To qualify for the UGC NET exam, you must first get a master's degree with at least 50% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates and 55% for general candidates in order to become a professor at any college or university in India. You can apply for the UGC NET (National Eligibility Test) or SLET after earning your Master's degree in the preferred area (State Level Eligibility Test). .

    There are three stages - Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor.
    To become a professor of any college/ University in India you need to first complete your Master's degree with 55% marks for general candidates and 50% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates as this this minimum criteria for appearing in UGC NET exam.
    Once you have completed your Master's degree in the desired field you can apply for UGC NET (National Eligibility Test) or SLET (State Level Eligibility Test).
    After clearing NET or SLET, candidates can apply for assistant professor post in any university across the country.

    You should be a Post Graduate preferably MBA with M.Ed with minimum of 55% marks in aggregate as it is the minimum eligibility to appear for the NET (National Eligibility Test)-the qualifying examination for teaching in a college.
    Either you can sit for the NET exam or can apply for doing research work in your university. M.Phil and PhD degrees are required for doing teaching in a college. A candidate who possesses doctoral degree gets an edge over other applicants.

    You should pursue for MBA and apply for M.Ed after MBA. For becoming a lecturer and faculty, M.Ed is compulsory and if you do it after MBA, you will get additional benefit of Management. Also, opt for M.Ed in Management.
