But let me explain you the step by step procedure to become a professor.
Path 1 :First finish your Master's then you can join as Assistant professor. After 5 years of experience you will be promoted to Associate professor. After five years of experience as Associate you supposed to be promoted as Professor but here in this you will remain as Associate as you have not done Ph.D. So to do Ph.D you can two ways

Generally, M.Tech students are more available in the engineering college but M.Sc students also apply for the same. They need to appear in an exam organised by CBSE called UGC-NET in which they check the eligibility of the candidate for the post of teacher and they give a job to top 6% students for the post of assistant professor or JR. Rest of the students get a rank list by which they can get a job in any college on the behalf of their vacant seats.
