How far the MBA in Hosp. and Pharma Management is useful to me, if I enroll in distant learning course at my age of 57?

I am a general Surgeon with experience of about 28 years in Surgery. Do you think, if I do MBA in Hospital Managaement, i have a better chance in entering in administrative field of hospital management? Which is better- distant learning or joining MBA school?
