Bachelor of Optometry is a four-year, full-time undergraduate degree. An additional year of clinical training comes after the first three years of teaching. The programme has incorporated multidisciplinary material with pertinent elements of general anatomy and physiology, biochemistry, pathology, and microbiology in the Basic Sciences and physical, geometrical, dispensing, visual, and optometric Optics in the Core courses.
