Central University of Kashmir is UGC approved and NAAC accredited. In 2023, it was ranked 58th in the Overall category by NIRF a 26 rank increase from 2022. CUK offers UG, PG, and PhD programs in various streams, including science, technology, education, social sciences, business administration and computer application, Some say CUK has a cool environment and a beautiful campus and will look extraordinary after completion. Others rate it 3.0 out of 5 for placements, 3.8 out of 5 for infrastructure, faculty and course curriculum 3.8 out of 5 for crowd and campus life and 3.9 out of 5 for value for money.
