    The CMR University has the School of Economics and Commerce where students are taught commerce and economics at both the undergraduate and the post graduate level. The B.Com (Hons) programme has annual cost of about Rs 2,58,000 which would sum up to around Rs 7,74,000 for the three years’ course. The M.Com programme costs around 1,44,000 per year or 2,88,000 for two years. The deployed system fosters group work, communication between experts and students, as well as skills to increase employability. The PhD entrance examination comprises two papers-General Aptitude & Research Methodology and  domain-specific subject as studied at the postgraduate level. Both the papers consist of 60 multiple-choice questions and the time allotted for each paper is one hour.

School of Economics and Commerce, CMR University admission to PhD programme is based on an entrance test conducted by the university. Selected candidates are further called for a personal interview round. The exact date, time and venue of the exam is communicated to each shortlisted candidate.
