Students also learn application of software such as SPSS. Very important point here is, many students want to pursue their careers in Civil services ! LPU has special modules for them to prepare for UPSC examinations along with their regular studies. (H) Economics - 2 years As you have not mentioned anything, I will share my own experience and view. One of my cousin took admission in B.Sc. (Hons) Economics highlighted that the course is a mixture of conventional economics courses and modern day analytical tools. There are key points which are worth to be highlighted: 1. Capable of opening new opportunities especially for the students who wish to pursue a higher degree in the field of economics as it includes the subjects of economics starting from basics to the advanced one including the course on econometrics which is high in demand. 2. Education is imparted under semester system and or improved learning, emphasis is laid on Seminars and Case Based Teaching. 3. Now-a-days, the knowledge of statistical tools and its applicability is a highly required by big industries. This demand is fully kept in the mind when curriculum for the programme is designed. LPU provides the students with the following options: a. Core and Elective Courses b. Language and Communication Skills c. Open Minors d. Workshops and Seminar Courses 4. Last but not the least, Pathways are also floated which actually assist the student to achieve his/her dream. Three pathways such as Corporate Jobs, Government Jobs and Higher Studies are offered to the student in fourth term. More emphasis and hands on training through workshop on SPSS, Data Analysis, Excel Modelling, Computer Applications, etc. 5. LPU really helps its students with 100% placement and assistance. The best thing I like about LPU about placement is, they provide placement classes to all the students from the very first year who opt for the placement. With the help of this, they can prepare themselves for placements till the pre-final year because the companies will start visiting for the recruitment of students from a pre-final year.
