    Hi Swapnil,
    VIT mechanical engineering department is one of the very good departments. As far as placements are concerned I would like to share an experience of my roommates. Two years back, two M.Tech. 2nd year students were my roommates. I remember that they had sat for an interview of at least 5-6 companies in front of me. Also, there were some more companies for which their profile wasn't suitable.
    So, VIT gets many companies for M.Tech students as well. Many students get placed. As I'm from chemical engineering department, I can not tell you the exact number of placed students, but yes - placements are not so bad (as compared to oth

    VIT has been consistently setting records of campus placements amongst private institutions in India. Producing graduates who are well equipped to handle the working norms of the industry and commerce in the public and the private sectors has been the primary aim of the university.
    VIT have over 400 recruiters from Core Engineering and Software comapnies who visit each year.

Yes, the Vellore Institute of Technology has released the VITREE application form 2026. Registration window was open on August 27 and last date to submit the application form is November 24 (extended). Candidates who are willing to take admission in PhD programmes in VIT can apply for VITREE exam.
