How good is VIT for M.Tech mechanical placement wise?

Hi Swapnil, VIT mechanical engineering department is one of the very good departments. As far as placements are concerned I would like to share an experience of my roommates. Two years back, two M.Tech. 2nd year students were my roommates. I remember that they had sat for an interview of at least 5-6 companies in front of me. Also, there were some more companies for which their profile wasn't suitable. So, VIT gets many companies for M.Tech students as well. Many students get placed. As I'm from chemical engineering department, I can not tell you the exact number of placed students, but yes - placements are not so bad (as compared to other mtech people)!

HIGHEST PACKAGE OF THIS YEAR IS WEST LINE SHIP MANAGEMENT (21.6 LPA) .I don't know how the placements are there in IITs and NITs for mechanical but here in VIT these are the companies visited this year till now. I hope few more companies may join in this list at the end of this 2018 academic year because still one more semester is there to complete this academic year. NOTE: All this above mentioned companies had taken in single digit numbers (min 1- max 10) and package ranging (3LPA-12LPA).

VIT has been consistently setting records of campus placements amongst private institutions in India. Producing graduates who are well equipped to handle the working norms of the industry and commerce in the public and the private sectors has been the primary aim of the university. Internship with P.G Project for M.Tech students are arranged through PAT office for a period of 10 months.
