Admission is purely based on entrance exams and qualification level.</p><p>1. *Undergraduate Courses (B.Sc, B.Tech)*: For undergraduate courses like B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering, candidates have to appear for the WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) or similar other state-level exams. The cutoffs for B.Tech Agricultural Engineering, for instance, range from approximately 1400 to 10,000 in the WBJEE ranks, which shows that although it's competitive, it's certainly not extremely difficult if you score well in your exams.</p><p>2. Master Courses (M.Sc, M.Tech) Entry to Masters courses is also fairly competitive and on the basis of your earlier class performance and the corresponding entrance exam conducted in institutions or university level for example, WBUT PGET for M.Tech Candidates eligible to pursue M.Sc in Agriculture hold a very good academic record and must meet some entrance requirements.</p><p>3. Ph.D. Programs: A good academic record, possession of a master's degree relevant to the proposed course of study, and good performances in entrance examinations are usually required. Students with research interests or practice have a better chance.</p><p>All in all, admission is pretty competitive, but if you come up eligible both in academics and entrance exams, then it's not a tough competition. <p>Admission into Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya (BCKV) is hard, but most people will agree that this is not impossible even without extra help. The tightness of the admission is pretty much fertile ground for the area of study that one is submitting an application for as well as the parameters of the entrance.</p><p>Undergraduate (B.E. / B.Tech) Admission:<br>WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) is the only exam that is held for admission to B.E. / B.Tch courses in BCKV.<br>The seats in the respective courses are quite limited hence the cutoff ranks are also such for certain branches specifically. However overall, the candidates doing decently well in WBJEE are able to gain admission into the university.</p><p>Postgraduate Admission:&nbsp;Postgraduate (PG) programme s also faced with stiff competition and the students have to satisfy the minimum requirements of the university as well as register for entrance examinations like the ICAR AIEEA for other state students.</p><p>Overall Difficulty:</p><p>The entrance examinations (WBJEE for UG and ICAR for PG) are difficult albeit can be handled with the right preps. The admissions process is primarily based on merit, and those who do well these exams are most likely to get admitted The admissions exercise is fierce, but it is within the grasp of anyone who is committed to preparing and performing well in the required examinations.</p>
