    Admission to the GCT - Gnanamani College of Technology can be moderately competitive. The college offers only BTech, MBA, MCA, and MTech courses. Admission to all these courses is done based on the scores obtained in entrance exams such as TANCET exam for MBA and GATE for MTech. To be eligible for these exams, the candidates need to have a minimum of 45% marks in the previous qualification in a relevant stream.

    Gnanamani College of Technology (GCT), Namakkal, has a somewhat competitive admissions process.  In the 2024 TNEA counseling, the closing rankings for B.Tech programs varied by course and category, ranging from roughly 10,000 to over 185,000.  Mechanical engineering courses had closing ranks as high as 185,677, while courses like artificial intelligence and data Science had ranks as low as 62,760.

Anna University usually declares the results of GCT - Gnanamani College of Technology semester exams about 3-4 months following the conclusion of the exams. For example, results for November/December 2024 were published in April 2025. Then, the April/May 2025 results will be reported in August 2025. For example, the process was started on 6th May 2024, and the results were announced on 13th August 2024. In 2025, the process was started on 7th May, and the ranks were allotted on 27th June.
