One's basic qualification should be the clear pass of the entrance examination called the JEE Main, a common national level examination. The qualifying scores across students for a year and eligibility in admissions at the institute may change every year based on the size and number of available seats. Generally, students having a strong ground in Mathematics and Science tend to do well. Although the intake capacity of JIET is quite good across all the engineering programs, a lot would depend on the trend of cutoffs that has been prevailing in recent times for a fair judgment of the competition level.</p>
