    The lateral entry admissions are already on at LPU !
    You can visit their website and call up the support cell on toll free numbers, they will help you through the admission process as well as take all your queries/doubts and resolve those. DVD.

    You have to appear for LEET, then based on your ranking, you will get admission.

    You have to appear for LEET entrance exam to get the lateral entry in the second year.

    Hello,Yes, you can get admission in the second year after your Diploma. This is known as lateral entry. There are many colleges that offer Mechanical Engineering-Lateral Entry. Each and every college has it's own eligibility criteria.     No need to face any exams. Just complete your diploma without any backlogs with a minimum of 60%. Then you can pursue B.Tech from any college or University. I would tell you to take admission in a university as it is better and easier under a university.

    On inquiring for my niece from the counsellors of LPU, I came to know that in order to take admission in Lateral entry B.Tech, you need to meet the eligibility. The eligibility is pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (engineering. ). (any stream) 3 years after 10th or 2 years. After 10+2 (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Computer Science) or BCA or equivalent. LPU NEST is not mandatory but still you can appear for the scholarship. LPU do offer scholarship to provide financial assistance to the students:1.     You can appear for LEET exams or you can also get admission if You are having more than 60% in mechanical engineering Diploma.
