One can be a journalist if the person has an excellent communicative skill and a sharp state of mind and also skills of writing. But Masters in mass communication helps to get another degree to level up your academic goals which further helps to decorate your educational qualifications. Whenever you apply for a job they first look for what academic degrees you have achieved. There are many journalist who has achieved higher degrees in this field and they are now very well known journalists. Coming to the second question, this programme serves many additional skills such as, photography skills, radio programs skills, film making or video production skills, and electronic and print media are always there in this programme. You may have special papers in your second year of Masters in this subject where you can select your desired papers such as photo journalism, sports journalism, and many more.
