Hi Romit, The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is the only standardized test designed for graduate business and management programs around the world. The rigorous test shows schools that candidates have what it takes to succeed in b-school and career. The GMAT measures the skills you have and the skills business schools need. GMAT not only helps gain admissoin into top schools but scores also have an impact during job search. There is no eligibility for taking the GMAT except that you must be atleast 18 years or older, candidates between 13-17 years must have acquired a parental consent in written for registration. Hello Romit, As per the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the eligibility criteria for GMAT exams have not been officially stated. The institute or university in which the student is seeking admission may have certain eligibility criteria, and they may vary across universities. However, the basic eligibility for GMAT exams are as follows: Age You must be at least 18 years old. Those of you who are between 13 and 17 years must get a written proof of permission, from a parent or legal guardian in order to appear for the GMAT exam. There is no upper age limit to take the GMAT exam. Educational Qualifications You must have an undergraduate degree in any discipline from a recognized board or university. There is no upper limit of educational qualification apart from graduation, if you are interested in appearing for the GMAT exam. Nationality As far as your nationality is concerned, there are no restrictions and hassles. You can be from any part of the world to be able to take this test. Some of you might be thinking that the eligibility criteria for the GMAT exam vary across countries, but this is not true. The rules and eligibility criteria are the same for all candidates from any part of the world. Number of Attempts You can take the GMAT exam as many times as you want. However, you can take the test once every 16 days and no more than five times in 12 months.
