How important is my JEE percentile for B.Tech/B.E admission at Chandigarh University?

<p>Hi.</p><p>CU accepts JEE Main scores for engineering admissions.</p><p>A good JEE percentile can:</p><p>Help secure high-demand branches like CSE, IT, AI/ML, Cyber Security, and Data Science.</p><p>Qualify you for merit-based scholarships, which are tied to your All India Rank (AIR) in JEE Main, not just percentile.</p><p>Provide an advantage in counseling and seat allocation, especially if many students compete for limited seats.</p><p>&nbsp;Other factors CU considers</p><p>12th-class marks (PCM + required subject)</p><p>Minimum eligibility: usually 50–60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and another subject depending on the branch.</p><p>Even if your JEE percentile is low, strong 12th marks can still get you admission.</p><p>CUCET / internal merit</p><p>CU also conducts its own entrance/merit-based admissions.</p><p>If your JEE score is low or absent, you can still get admission through CUCET or direct merit.</p><p>Branch demand and seat availability</p><p>Popular branches like CSE and AI/ML have higher cutoffs.</p><p>Less-demanded branches (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) have lower cutoffs, making them easier to get even without a high JEE percentile.</p>
