How is B.Arch at LPU?

One of my friend told me students documented the buildings and learning from Live Case Examples during experiential learning week. Students paying the regular site visits and gaining their knowledge on the latest construction techniques and implement into their design projects. B.Arch and Diploma students gained an exciting learning experience through Tool House Workshop in Mumbai and, a guided trip to Sanchi Stupa in Madhya Pradesh. They attended seminars and guest lectures by experienced and professional architects are held frequently to enhance the knowledge of the students. World acclaimed architect Raj Real, Ar. PSN Rao, Ar. Sangeet Sharma and many others. Emphasis on case studies and Case-based teaching to develop skills in analytical thinking and reflective judgment by reading and discussing complex, real-life scenarios. World Renowned Architect B. V. Doshi is one of the most important figures in South Indian Architecture. LPU Students got the chance to interact at his working abode in Sangath, Ahmedabad. Architecture Students documented the buildings and learning from Live Case Examples during experiential learning week. LPU students B.Arch got placed with a package of INR 4.5 Lacs annually in Total Environment, Bangalore an Indian architect-led real estate and design company known for sensitively designed homes, microbrewery and jazz theatre. Some of them are working as an Architect in Design Forum International, Delhi. The firm is known for various projects like Select Citywalk, Delhi, and Solar Tower, South Africa. A student had a meeting with Indian Embassy, Kathmandu Valley Development Authority, District Coordination Committee Bhaktapur, Mayor Bhaktapur, SSP Bhaktapur, etc. And conducted Surveys, Collected Data and documented City Department of Architecture, LSAD conducted an expert lecture of Ar. Jit Kumar, Chairman of Indian Green Building Council, Chandigarh for Architecture students to share the concept and technical specifications of Green Architecture Buildings. Alumni of B.Arch Batch 2010, Yatharth Laad and Namita Singh conducted a hands-on session on Rat-Trap Bonding, Brick Arches, Brick Jalli, Filler -Slab technique cob wall construction and Adobe block construction for B.Arch students. Architecture is the one subject that lets you challenge yourself to do better every time. It develops new perspectives and dimensions. Architecture is both the process and the product of planning, designing, and constructing buildings or any other structures. Architectural works, in the material form of buildings, are often perceived as cultural symbols and as works of art. For taking admission there are a few entrance exams like NATA that need to be taken. NATA is compulsory for Architecture Studies. B.Arch at LPU is a good choice based on my own personal experience. The faculty is very experienced and highly educated. In the programme, innovative teaching practices are adopted. One such practice is called Experiential learning week which is organized every semester in which students are taken to nearby historic and construction sites and are given live case studies to do. In design studios, the professors encourage students to take challenging and practical design problems. There is a rich culture of internships for final year students who go for very challenging and top placements nationally as well as internationally through department. The department is actively working to arrange internships by making a cluster of architectural and consultant firms with them. Most importantly they are recognised by the Council of Architecture (COA). Their curriculum comprises of Live Projects, Study tour to overseas projects, they follow collaborative learning with Industries. Tie ups with industry Content delivery by industry experts Projects in collaboration with industry Internships to engage deeply in hands on real-life situations Placements of the department also shows promising results. There are many universities that would offer B.Arch and claim to be the best. But you need a college which would cater to your all-round development. The name that comes to me first is LPU which carefully nurtures its students and propels them to the pinnacle of success so that their hard work culminates to a point that would be the cause of envy of many. I did MBA from this University but one of my friends has done a B. No other university helps in the placements as LPU does. Council of Architecture (C. O. A) approved a curriculum with an emphasis on designing and software skills. Scholarships are also available on the basis of LPU NEST score, NATA/JEE Score, performance in extra-curricular, etc. In addition to this, LPU has a good brand name, excellent placements, and rankings.
