Dear Dev, I would say Lovely Professional University is best for pursuing B.Tech in Biotechnology. If you re looking for quality education, good placements, exposure, academics then LPU is right place, it has all. I am saying this because one of my known is pursuing same course from LPU and her experience is amazing. She told me Faculty members works hard tirelessly in enabling students with the acumen to apply the findings of Bio sciences in the fields of medicine, forensics, nutrition and dietetics for the benefit of the community. LPU School of Bioengineering and Biosciences is equipped with state-of-the-art Bioprocess Engineering and Bioscience labs and believes in imparting knowledge to students through a practical approach to achieve mastery in plant and animal physiology. Few points told by my known who did her studies from LPU that will help you to make your decision:
The course offers specializations in Dairy Technology, Fermentation Technology and Bioinformatics. The curriculum offers prime focus on fundamental and applied aspects of biotechnology. Students can get a foreign degree through international collaborations (2 year in India and 2 years abroad or 2 year in India and 1 year abroad)
The curriculum has been designed in such a way that it makes it easier for the students to prepare themselves for giant exams like CSIR NET ICMR, ICAR, and GATE. With an experienced faculty of 30+ in the department who arw ready to help the students round the clock, seven days a week, this institute is one of the best options for the young population to opt for biotechnology. In terms of placement and education, Chandigarh University is a better option.
The problem is that Chandigarh University doesn't have biotechnology engineering.
