How is CGPA calculated at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology?

CGPA is calculated on the basis of the relative marks of a student. If you have scored more than average students then your grade will be more than that of others irrespective of your marks. Similarly, if you have scored less than others then your grade will be less than others no matter even if you have scored 18 out of 20.

Suppose the overall credit of your particular sem is 20 which includes Maths -4, physics-4, sdf-4, labs-5, english-3. You obtain B+ grade in Maths by relative grading of all jiit students who have given that exam. B +grade has 8 points, A+ has 10 similarly you can reduce 1 points for each grade like A has 9 points. Now multiply that point with the credit score of that subject. Maths is a 4 credit score, so your total score is 8*4, similarly you can add them for all subjects by multiplying your grade point and credit score and divide by total credit of that sem which is 20. This way you can calculate CGPA.
