How is CGPA calculated at Navsari Agricultural University?

<p>A student securing less than 50% marks (5.000 grade point) in a course, shall be considered to have failed and shall have to clear the same as mentioned. for which maximum of only three additional trials shall begiven, failing which his/her admission shall stand discontinued.</p><p>All the grade points below 5.000 and grade such as &ldquo;I&rdquo;, &ldquo;AB&rdquo;, &ldquo;W&rdquo;, &ldquo;US&rdquo; will be shown in his/her evaluation report and will also be considered for calculating OGPA. When a student clears a course (s) by more than one trial, the grade point (less than 5.000) obtained by him/her previously will be replaced by the grade point subsequently obtained by him/her in the respective course (s)for calculating the OGPA for the award of the degree.</p><p>The students obtaining 5.000 or more grade point in a course shall be deemed to have cleared that course and those obtaining less than 5.000 grade point or &ldquo;W&rdquo; or &ldquo;I&rdquo; or &ldquo;Ab&rdquo; grade shall be required to clear that course.&nbsp;It will be obligatory for the students to earn &ldquo;S&rdquo; grade for all non-credit courses in order to be eligible for the award of the degree. If student earn &ldquo;US&rdquo; grade he shall have to repeat the course.</p><p>The Cumulative Grade Point Average obtained at the end of the final semester is the Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) of the candidate to be worked out as under;</p><p>OGPA = &sum; (Credit x Credit Points)&divide; Total Credits</p><p>100 of&nbsp; 10 Points</p><p>90 to &lt;100 9 to &lt;10</p><p>80 to &lt;90 8 to &lt;9</p><p>70 to &lt;80 7 to &lt;8</p><p>60 to &lt;70 6 to &lt;7</p><p>50 to &lt;60 5 to &lt;6</p><p>&lt;50 (Fail) &lt;5</p><p>Allotment of division :</p><p>OGPA Division</p><p>5.000 &ndash; 5.999 Pass</p><p>6.000 &ndash; 6.999 II division</p><p>7.000 &ndash; 7.999 I division</p><p>8.000 and above&nbsp; I division with distinction</p>
