To find SGPA we use the formula

SGPA= Summation ( Course credit of the course * Grade) /Sum of credit of all courses

Once you calculate SGPA of each semester you can get CGPA by calculating their average.

CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) calculation is based on SGPA (Semester Grade Point Average) calculation. And Everywhere the method to calculate SGPA is same. And From SGPA calculation of CGPA is also same. There is nothing different in my college and any other college. But you can calculate percentage by multiplying CGPA into 10. Like if you have 7.9 CGPA then your percentage is 79 %. .
