    CGPA is Cumulative Grade Point Average. For every course in the curriculum there will be a certain amount of credits provided.You will be earning those credits by clearing that subject in the final examination. Of course you will get certain grades in each subject if you had cleared it.Now, to calculate GPA (grade point average) of the particular semester you have to find the sum of products of credit and grades of each subject you undertook and divide it with the total no. of credits you earned in that semester.
