The CGPA is calculated on 10 point basis .

    A 10 points

    B 8 points

    C 6 points

    D 4 POINTS

    E 2 POINTS

So total CGPA is calculated by taking sum of all sgpa of all semesters divided by total credits in all semesters

Generally, CGPA is calculated based on the grades obtained in individual courses or subjects. Each grade is assigned a specific grade point, and the CGPA is the weighted average of these grade points. The formula to calculate CGPA is:

CGPA = (Sum of (Grade Point of Each Subject x Credits of Each Subject) / Total Credits

    In this formula:

    • Grade Point of Each Subject: It represents the grade points corresponding to the grade obtained in each subject. For example, A+ may have a grade point of 10, A may have 9, B may have 8, and so on.

The CGPA is calculated on a 10-point scale. The grades are converted to points as follows:

    • A+ = 10 points
    • A = 9 points
    • B+ = 8 points
    • B = 7 points
    • C+ = 6 points
    • C = 5 points
    • D+ = 4 points
    • D = 3 points
    • E = 0 points

The CGPA is calculated by dividing the total number of points obtained by the total number of credits attempted. The credits for each course are specified in the university's academic calendar.
