How is Chandigarh University for pursuing B.Tech in mechanical engineering?

It is a good private university among other private Universitys for B.Tech in mechanical and has good placement from others.

Hi Kartik, I don't have idea about Mechanical Engineering at Chandigarh University,I did MBA from Lovely professional University and I would say,The Mechanical Engineering department had the most ideal study environment since I have two friends from that stream. The labs and workspace at LPU School of Mechanical Engineering, was fully equipped with all the necessary machinery that was required for wholesome learning. I am going to share few facts which i know about mechanical department:- A Mechanical Engineering student goes through an experiential learning process surrounded by high-end latest labs and equipment including robotics and automation. International tech-fests and competitions encourage all-round development in our students in addition to giving them international exposure. PEP classes start right away from the first semester itself in form of Communication Skills and continue till the final semester covering: Analytical Skills (Logic Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning) Quantitative Aptitude Skills Technical Aptitude Skills Presentations and Soft Skills Mock Exercises (Mock Interviews, GDs, Mock Tests, etc.) All a student has to do is to maintain a good academic record and personality to ensure his/her placement. Mechanical Engineering students at LPU are provided with enormous opportunities of placement drives. I can see my few friends getting placed in reputed companies like Hyundai, Reliance Energy, Godrej, Sandhar Technology,XL Dynamics and many more. Even IT industries recruit Mechanical students here. Dear kartik, I don't have idea about CU, I would say, The engineering stream at LPU itself has received an overall good rating from students and alumni. The School of Mechanical Engineering offers well engineered seamless courses for students at many different levels such as undergraduate, Diploma/certificate, post-graduate and research based Ph.D. level courses, not only for Mechanical Engineering, but also for Automobile, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics and Mechatronics as well. I am saying this because my brother has completed B.Tech Mechanical from LPU, His experience at LPU was amazing, Currently he is working with XL Dynamics with decent package. He told me, Mechanical Engineering student goes through an experiential learning process surrounded by high-end the latest labs and equipment including robotics and automation. International tech-fests and competitions encourage all-round development in our students in addition to giving them international exposure. University organized International Go kart Championship which is a student initiated automotive event the first international event of its kind receiving participation from all over ASIA. The Mechanical Department has highly experienced and qualified staff pursuing their research in thrust areas such as CAD/CAM, Mechanical design, Thermal engineering, Fluid dynamics, Manufacturing Engineering, Tool design and Flexible Manufacturing Systems/Automation. The Department has to its credit more than 100 research publications in International, National Journals including prestigious ASME Transactions, International Conference and National Conference. The faculty members are very knowledgeable in their respective fields. They are always ready to help the students. During the exams, professors arrange special classes for the students to help them revise better and clear their doubts. Apart from all the curriculum you come across, literally, 100s of technical and non-technical competitions being held. The University has pleasant atmosphere. Vocational knowledge is provided in due respect of the course. University has different methods of evaluation and efficient staff.

Hi Kartik, Chandigarh university is good to pursue B.Tech in Mechanical engineering, well-built infrastructure, nice faculty and further they provide placements too.
