How is chemical engineering?

Chemical engineering is a discipline influencing numerous areas of technology. In broader, chemical engineers conceive and design processes to produce, transform and transport materials beginning with experimentation in the laboratory followed by implementation of the technology in full-scale production. Chemical engineers are in great demand because of the large number of industries that depend on the synthesis and processing of chemicals and materials. In addition to traditional careers in the chemical, energy and oil industries, chemical engineers enjoy increasing opportunities in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, electronic device fabrication and environmental engineering. The unique training of the chemical engineer become essential in these areas when processes involve the chemical or physical transformation of matter. Chemical engineers work in offices as well as laboratories. They find employment at industrial plants, refineries and locations where they monitor or direct chemical operations. They usually work with design professional and technicians or work on-site. The industries that employ chemical engineers are as follows: Architectural, engineering, and related services. Basic chemical manufacturing, Scientific research and development services, Resin, synthetic rubber, and artificial synthetic fibers and filaments manufacturing, Petroleum and coal products manufacturing, Biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, Business services, Health-care industries, Food Manufacturing unites, Electronics and Energy manufacturers etc. So In my opinion this course have great job opportunities in government PSUs and private sectors and can be the good option.
