How is civil engineering branch of BIT, Mesra and placement? Should I opt civil engineering in BIT, Mesra or NIT, Jamshedpur?

The department of Civil Engineering at BIT Mesra was established in 1957. There are well established laboratories in the department. The faculty members are well qualified and are having degrees from reputed Institutes. They are actively involved in research and consultancy. The department had contributed a lot in the infrastructural and industrial growth in Jharkhand by providing technical expertise and consultancy. The average package for Civil branch was 6.16 in 2017-18.

Civil Department in BIT-Mesra has a very good set of professors and facilities. They are very dedicated and ready to help the students in every way possible. The placements have been very good for civil in last few years. Companies from core background as well as other backgrounds like coding/ consultancies/ startups have been visiting campus for the recruitment. With all the amenities, good and helping professors and good placement records, I must say that civil in BIT has a good future.
