how is clinical research's scope?how much would be the starting salary for msc clinical research post graduates?

i am in 1st yr of clinical research fron icri.i have heard many people saying that in clinical research one could not expect more than 10,000 as starting salary!!!is it really true?am worried about my career in salary point of view?doing research from private institute is not of worth?
