    Civil Engineering is one of the oldest and probably most crucial branches of engineering. Going by the definition of civil engineering, the subject can be defined as the study, design, development and maintenance of the built environment.     LPU is the best private university to go for B.Tech, it is one of the top 5 universities of India, providing quality education, innovative pedagogy and unbeatable placements both national and international. LPU provides a great academic exposure to its students. It provides a chance to the students to attend guest lectures or workshops, so that they get to learn as much as they can. LPU's Physical Efficiency Test (LPUPET/PET) is in fact not an hour-long session with a fixed time allotment; rather, it is a combination of physical tasks conducted in succession sprinting for 50m, broad jump, overhead medicine ball throw (3 kg for men and 2 kg for women), and finally 1000m of run/walk. The time taken in doing the complete tasks varies with the fitness of the candidate, commonly taking from 20 to 45 minutes for a session. The candidates are allowed a maximum of two attempts.
