(Hons) Economics highlighted that the course is a mixture of conventional economics courses and modern day analytical tools. There are key points which are worth to be highlighted: 1. Capable of opening new opportunities especially for the students who wish to pursue a higher degree in the field of economics as it includes the subjects of economics starting from basics to the advanced one including the course on econometrics which is high in demand. 2. Now-a-days, the knowledge of statistical tools and its applicability is a highly required by big industries. This demand is fully kept in the mind when curriculum for the programme is designed. While offering this dynamic degree course at lovely professional University they specially take care of those areas which would be really important for the outcome of this three years course. Through B.Sc. Economics students would be able to develop ideas of the basic characteristics of Indian economy, its potential on natural resources. Analyze the recent theoretical and empirical changes of Indian economy observe the understanding of critical concerns of Indian economy evaluate the Indian economic policies in broader perspective articulate the importance of planning undertaken by the government of India, have knowledge on the various objectives, failures and achievements of the previous and ongoing planning and economic reforms taken by the government. Enumerate the agriculture as the foundation of economic growth and development, analyse the progress and changing nature of agricultural sector and its contribution to the economy as a whole.
