Founded by the Central Government of India, Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad is a part of the Indian Institute of Technology group. Presently, this institute offers 9 B.Tech programmes, 16 M.Tech programmes, 3 M.Sc. Programmes, 5 M.Phil programmes and M.Des programme in all the disciplines

IIT-Hyderabad campus is spread over 576 acres of land. The institute is considered as a one of the second generations institute started by the Government of India. The campus is located in Kandi, Sangareddy, Telangana State. The institute has been ranked 8th by NIRF in the engineering division.
