Hi, Both colleges have their own benefits and drawbacks. LPU gives the student an extra edge by providing them scholarship and also the exposure at LPU is very wide than Jalpaiguri Law College.

Hi, If you want to pursue Law courses, no university is best than LPU. The way they are imparting education is commendable. Let me give you few highlights for the same. The School of Law is governed and regulated by the Bar Council of India (BCI), and BCI also provides its curriculum. Students have experienced internships at various High Courts, law firms, law chambers, commissions, corporate houses, and NGOs. LPU provides Experiential learning by Regular Open House Discussions to generate awareness about contemporary issues to identify corresponding legal challenges and implications. Effective learning, according to LPU, occurs outside of the classroom. As a result, students are motivated to augment their classroom learning by engaging in specially organized moot court and debate competitions. Moot Court contests held around the country have rewarded LPU Law students with awards. Moot court tournaments have also been held at the university on a national level. In addition, the department invites eminent guest lecturers from the legal profession, such as Advocate Rajiv Kumar, Advocate-On-Record (Supreme Court of India), to talk and encourage future lawyers. The aim of these guest lectures is to familiarise students with the intricacies of legal discourse. Anup, LPU is one of the best universities in the country with world class infrastructure, modern facilities and highly qualified faculty, some of them had been practising lawyers of High Courts and respectable Supreme Court as well. Students are given a lot of practical knowledge by regularly taking them on visits to court and jail premises as well as they are made to participate in moot courts. Apart from this, they are also sent on internship wherein they get a chance to learn the nuances of the field under the guidance of practising lawyers. The university has been ranked high by outer agencies also with regard to placements of our students. LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every of the eligible students to secure good placement. Special inputs in the form of placement classes are given to students. The curriculum taught incorporates specific courses (subjects) under the notion of Professional Enhancement Programmes (PEP) in which the students are prepared to crack the placement processes.
