How is Lovely Professional University for MBA? I am planning to take admission next year. How good is it for HR?

LPU no doubt ranks among the top 20 B-schools though the same is felt by me as the active part of the campus. All the banks (expect RBI) of India, all the big retailer chains and the tech as well corporate companies are visiting for the placements.

Dear Lakshmi, MBA is a professional programme, you must evaluate he colleges/university on following parameters before taking a plunge: Curriculum : If at all the curriculum is continuously upgraded and developed with consultations and feedback of industry. Since management is a highly dynamic field, you can't afford a programme which is stuck in obsolete theories and syllabi. Pedagogy : The teaching pedagogy forms the backbone of how the programme is delivered, more the practical, better it is. Maximum exposure to practicals and internships more chances of becoming a well rounded professional. Technology: The businesses and the business functions are now highly tech driven, the management programme must have the exposure and training of the same. The world leading technologies like SAP, GitHub, Advance excel etc. Are must for any professional to succeed in career. Industry interface: Ultimately its the industry which is going to immerse the students in the placements, the regular industrial talks, interactions, lectures, visits and internships are must have in any management programme. Professional etiquette: It is the most important part these days, the personality, ethics, virtuous, speech, body language, interpersonal skills etc. Are given high importance in the organisations. The programme must include the training or modules on all these. Diversity: As the world shrinks into a aligned economy, the professionals will be required to work in cross cultural teams having entirely different work culture and ethos, the national and international diversity of students in a college is helpful in enabling the students develop right sensibilities for such work atmosphere. Entrepreneurship : Even though most of the students go for jobs, the exposure to entrepreneurship is required. This helps the professionals know how the other departments and the profit center heads work, what are the expectations etc. The college must have innovation labs, design thinking and business incubator. Community service: A bit of community projects in between the course are very important to develop the humane side of the person as well as learn the organizing skills. Yes, Of course it is the Best Place for MBA. In Lovely Professional University. MBA programme comes Mittal School of Business is among the first 10 institutions in India to get ACBSP (USA) accreditation. Last year in MBA students got a package of max 16 Lacs per annum and the average packages were of 5 Lacs per annum. So I will recommend you to visit LPU campus at least once and you can contact through website. LPU is an outstanding place to pursue your studies. I have experienced in LPU as a student and I learned plenty of things during my graduation. LPU provides the beautiful infrastructure and all required resources to students and staff. I will highly recommended that if you really want to make your career with good level of education then you should go for LPU.

This year due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation across the country Lovely Professional University has changed admission procedure and minimizes it to online admissions only. One can take admission through their website only. What will happen next year only the future can tell. No doubt Lovely Professional University is one of the best and premier institutes for management and business studies in India. By assuming your name as a South Indian, the only difficulty you might have to face will be the distance. Lovely Professional University is situated at Jalandhar, Punjab. It is a big city you won't feel any difficulty inside the campus. But overall, Lovely Professional University is really the best institution for management studies. You are expecting to take admission in MBA in next year. Still, you have ample of time to compare other institutes also.
