How is Lovely Professional University for MBA? I am planning to take admission next year. How good is it for HR?

MBA is a professional programme, you must evaluate he colleges/university on following parameters before taking a plunge: Curriculum : If at all the curriculum is continuously upgraded and developed with consultations and feedback of industry. Since management is a highly dynamic field, you can't afford a programme which is stuck in obsolete theories and syllabi. Pedagogy : The teaching pedagogy forms the backbone of how the programme is delivered, more the practical, better it is. Maximum exposure to practicals and internships more chances of becoming a well rounded professional. Technology: The businesses and the business functions are now highly tech driven, the management programme must have the exposure and training of the same. Industry interface: Ultimately its the industry which is going to immerse the students in the placements, the regular industrial talks, interactions, lectures, visits and internships are must have in any management programme. Professional etiquette: It is the most important part these days, the personality, ethics, virtuous, speech, body language, interpersonal skills etc. Are given high importance in the organisations. The programme must include the training or modules on all these. Diversity: As the world shrinks into a aligned economy, the professionals will be required to work in cross cultural teams having entirely different work culture and ethos, the national and international diversity of students in a college is helpful in enabling the students develop right sensibilities for such work atmosphere. Entrepreneurship : Even though most of the students go for jobs, the exposure to entrepreneurship is required. This helps the professionals know how the other departments and the profit center heads work, what are the expectations etc. The college must have innovation labs, design thinking and business incubator. Community service: A bit of community projects in between the course are very important to develop the humane side of the person as well as learn the organizing skills. Placements : The programme is only means to the end ! And desired end of such course is a placement. You must check if the college/university has sold track record of placements or not. Hi Ayushman, This year due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation across the country Lovely Professional University has changed admission procedure and minimizes it to online admissions only. One can take admission through their website only. What will happen next year only the future can tell. No doubt Lovely Professional University is one of the best and premier institutes for management and business studies in India. By assuming your name as a South Indian, the only difficulty you might have to face will be the distance. Lovely Professional University is situated at Jalandhar, Punjab. It is a big city you won't feel any difficulty inside the campus. But overall, Lovely Professional University is really the best institution for management studies. You are expecting to take admission in MBA in next year. Still, you have ample of time to compare other institutes also.
