    Mechanical engineering in CU is a 4 years a programme having specialisation in Thermal, design & Production. Whats good about the programme is that they have included aptitude and soft skill training session in the curriculum only so that students match same skill set as per requirement of the industry.     Mechanical engineering is one of the best departments of Chandigarh University. The curriculum of the B.Tech. M.E. Has been designed with Inputs of Industry Leaders. Moreover, the department has many industry-sponsored labs. The faculty is selected from the top universities of the country and abroad. CU has been accredited with an A+ grade from NAAC. The placements are also good. More than 115 MNCs selected 530 mechanical engineering students during 2019-20 placements. Some of the top recruiters are Reliance Industries, Godrej, Sanmar Group, Jindal Steel, Asahi Glass, Tata Power, and Tata Technologies.
