Hi Geetha, why not? Mechanical is a core & one of the best branch of engineering but it has always been impression that mechanical means lot of physical work & its difficult for girls. Mechanical Engineering, like any other branch of engineering, is a white-collar professional role which requires that you work out solutions to the managing and improving of physical realities.
Mechanical engineer certainly isn't a mechanic or manual labourer, you're probably going to be involved with equipment, machinery or the manufacturing process on a physical level to at least some extent as part of your career but that should be manageable

I agree with Sumit Anarkat as mechanical engineering means lots of physical works that's why it is difficult work for girls. Mechanical engineering is the best and premier engineering course and most of the students want to develop as a mechanical engineer. But you should take computer & science engineering as your career.
