All branches of engineering have similar degree of difficulty and it is not right to say that ME & CE are tough. First year is common to all branches and mathematics is there till 2nd year. Job wise, 90% campus placement is done by IT companies and therefore placement during college campus is difficult for ME/CE. The next factor is the college. Bigger companies go to only those colleges who have passed out at least 2 batches and have good infrastructure, faculties, networked computers, seminar hall etc. The third factor is the student himself. Even if you are studying in a reputed college but do not train yourself for campus or do not

As for now both mechanical and civil are atop.
but looking into future aspects, mechanical is more relevant . mechanical has always been an evergreen field.there is no recession mechanical engineers. these both branches are tough. mechanical deals more with numerical studies while civil needs a lot of learn by heart strategy. if u r a hard working student and like practicing numerical problems then go for mechanical engineering.
    all the best.

Both are in demand. If you study regularly then ME won't be nay problem. Salary packages for ME is always better than CS. But if you want to work privately then go for CS or else ME.

In these labs we get to work on real machines, tools, engines, and different mechanical equipment. Teachers guide us step by step, so even difficult topics become easy to understand.
