How is NIT, Rourkela based on packages and placements?

Hi NIT Rourkela is one of the most reputed colleges, not only in India but abroad too. The minimum criteria to get admission, for general candidates to qualify for admissions to NITs/IIITs/GFTIs, they should have secured at least 75% marks in class 12th exam or be in the top 20 percentile in class 12th exam conducted by the respective boards. For SC/ST candidates, the eligibility criteria is 65% marks in class 12th. The placement is also good for all the branches. Almost all students get placed in good companies. The students not only excel in studies but also in extra curricular activities also. There are various clubs where students participate and excel as well as develop their skills. The placement as well as package of NIT Rourkela is good enough. The average package is around 6-7 LPA whereas the highest package reaches to 12-16 LPA. Various reputed companies like TCS, TRL, Wipro, Infosys, Deloitte, Dell, Microsoft, etc. come for placement and recruit many students. NIT Rourkela is ranked 15th by NIRF in 2018.
