    The Metallurgy and Materials Engineering Department of the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela is one of the most well-respected and the oldest departments present in the country. It offers a B.Tech degree in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, which is accredited by the NBA (National Board of Accreditation). This department is headed by a strong faculty with a good mix of research expertise and experience. It also has well-equipped workshops and laboratories, that offer students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience.

    The NIT Rourkela offers two courses in metallurgy and materials engineering. The first is a B.Tech. In Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, and the second is an integrated M.Tech in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.
    1. The course fee for B.Tech is around Rs. 5 Lacs, and the course fee for the integrated course is Rs. 6.25 Lacs.
    2. To get admission in both courses, you have to qualify for the JEE Main exam.
    3. The metallurgy and materials engineering course is one of the top-rated courses at NIT, Rourkela.
