Established in 1983, it was known as Delhi Institute of Technology and then the name was changed to Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology. Later on, after receiving the university status in 2018, it was renamed to its current name. Initially, the institute had a combined campus with Delhi College of Engineering. The institute is associated with the University of Delhi. The campus of the university is fully residential and is spread over an area of 145 acres. All the departments are located within the premises. In 2018, the university has been ranked as the 8th best college of engineering in India by Outlook India and in the same year, the Week placed the university at 21st position in India. Placements : Almost everyone gets placed in CSE, IT, and ECE branches, but the percentage and salary packages get lower as we move towards lower branches. Placements are the worst for the biotechnology department and are the best for CSE, IT, and ECE branches. The placements are above average for ICE and MPAE branches. Overall, the placements in the college are good, and students get placed with good salary packages. Infrastructure : The infrastructure of the college is not that good. There are old buildings. However, the new ones are under construction, and I hope the construction will be completed soon. The Wi-Fi connectivity is still a problem here as the entire campus is not enabled with Wi-Fi. Canteens are good enough, but the prices are expensive. The campus is lush green with trees all around. Faculty : Faculty members in the college are good, experienced, and well qualified. Some of them are very helpful, but some of them are just horrible who don't even think twice before failing you. Attendance is not such a big problem. Teachers say that 75% of attendance is mandatory, but 50% of attendance is enough to go through. However, they don't even accept 49.9% of attendance.
